The relevance of the problem is determined by the modern criteria of evaluation of the professional activity of a pedagogue. The aim of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of professional teacher-training competence of a pedagogue due to the gender-based aspect. The leading approach to the study of this problem is the competency-based approach and the gender-based ap-proach.
