The aim of the study was to determine the factors that parents in Tatarstan consider when selecting single-sex boarding schools for their gifted children. Gaining an understanding of these standards will facilitate meeting the needs of parents who might not be content with traditional education, recognizing the benefits of single-sex education, and enhancing the current school assessment system. A qualitative approach was taken to examine the variables affecting parents’ choice of school. The results showed that parents place the greatest importance on elements like individualized instruction, value-based education, and qualified teachers. Interviewees also mentioned academic achievement, single-sex education, and school climate as important factors. It was concluded, based on these findings, that school administrators ought to modify their recruitment tactics in order to better serve the needs of parents and increase the allure of schools for families. It is also advised to update the school evaluation standards in order to better meet the unique requirements of parents.

Coping with the negative experiences of gifted children due to dis-synchrony
Currently, psychological support for gifted primary school children requires specialists not only to have a high level of psychological and pedagogical, but also other professional competencies for the effective correction of negative experiences.
The purpose of the article is to develop methodological techniques and organization of professional activities of psychologists using modern technologies. The leading method for studying this problem is the modelling method, which allows us to consider this problem as a purposeful and organized process for improving professional and special competencies. The structure of the article includes the target, content, organizational procedural and effective components.
Optimization of the model of differentiated approach for overcoming negative experiences in gifted children of primary school age due to dis-synchrony using the method of interdisciplinary interaction, will not only overcome negative experiences, but also prevent possible negative emotions, as well as improving the professional skills of specialists working in this field.
Centers of science and arts (BİLSEM) as agents of gifted students’ education in Turkey
The issues discussed in the paper are urgent as the Republic of Turkey places a great emphasis on the correct identification and education of its gifted and talented children and youth. The aim of the research is to analyse the main achievements of the Science and Arts Centres BİLSEM and challenges to meet in order to improve the work with gifted learners in the Republic of Turkey. The paper might be of interest for municipal, national, public and independent institutions and organizations and individu-als involved in nurturing the unique abilities and needs of a most valuable human resource of a country – the gifted and talented children and youth.
