Muhammet Usak is currently a professor at Kazan Federal University, Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russian Federation. He has been teaching since 1998 – as a science teacher (1998-2000), and a teacher-educator (2000-present). He conducts teacher training for STEM teachers. From the period of 2003-2006, he served as a consultant to Ministry of National Education for the primary science curriculum development in Turkey.
He has presented papers in various regional and international conferences. He organized international science and mathematics education conferences.
He is a member of editorial boards of Journal of Baltic Science Education (SSCI & SCOPUS), Contemporary Mathematics and Science Education, Journal of Multimedia Art, Design and Education, Education Support (EduPort), Associate editor of Frontiers in Education (SCOPUS & ESCI), also he is an executive editor of European Journal of Science and Mathematics Education (SCOPUS), and Eurasian Journal of Science and Environmental Education.
Dr. Usak has authored and co-authored more than 120 articles, from which more than 80 articles are indexed in the Science/Social Science Citation Index (SCI/SSCI) and SCOPUS database.
